Administrative System Maintenance (Banner, Web4U), 12/28/2022

Status: Resolved

To perform regulatory and out-of-band security updates, the following systems will be unavailable or will have limited functionality on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Network Improvements and Outage, 12/15/2022, 6:00-7:00 a.m.

Status: Resolved

Network improvements will result in a very brief outage of wired and wireless network service on Thursday, December 15, 2022, between 6:00 a.m. 7:00 a.m. The outage should be for a few seconds, but we are providing this notice since it will impact critical connections including campus-to-internet, datacenter-to-campus, and wireless-to-wired connections.

Jira Service Management Down

Status: Resolved

3:00pm  - Jira is back in operational status. The root cause was a problem in Jira's infrastructure that had caused an outage for all Jira Cloud products.

12:42pm - Jira appears to be more stable but is still experiencing occasional errors. Atlassian is investigating.

 

Tuesday Nov. 22, 11:56am - Jira, the ticketing system used by ATUS, is producing various errors. Users may see messages such as "something bad happened," or "an error occurred." At this time, Atlassian does not have any notices posted about these errors but we are reporting the issue them. Check the Atlassian Status Page for more information as the issue develops.

The Western Marketplace is closed for new orders 11/21 through 11/23 for maintenance.

Status: Resolved

The Western Marketplace will be closed for new orders Monday November 21st - Wednesday November 23rd.
The Marketplace will be completely unavailable starting Monday November 28th for the upgrade. This will also delay some eSign Form completions. All Marketplace users will be notified once the system is live again (estimated downtime of a couple days).

Outbound Calling From Campus is Having Issues - Resolved

The outbound calling issue has been resolved.

10.12.2022, 9:39 a.m. - There have been multiple reports that on-campus users are unable to call off-campus phone numbers. Inbound calls (from off-campus numbers to on-campus numbers) and teams-to-teams calling works normally. The problem is being investigated.

Canvas Access Issues - Resolved

Status: Resolved

Instructure (Canvas) has resolved the access issues by rolling back an update.

Degree Works Outage [RESOLVED]

Status: Resolved

Degree Works is currently down in Production. EAS is currently investigating.

This issue was resolved at 1:30PM 9/27/222

Wireless Network Connection Issues

Status: Resolved

12:30pm - Since the Wireless Network Certificate was upgraded over the summer, be sure that you have forgotten the WWUWireless-Secure network on your personal device and then re-connect. If that still does not resolve the issue, try these additional troubleshooting steps.

Thursday, September 22nd, 8:30am - ITS made changes to the wireless network settings yesterday afternoon that may resolve connection issues. We will not know for certain until we reach peak wireless traffic between 10am and 2pm. If the problems reoccur during that window, ITS will attempt additional repairs.

12:15pm - Users again unable to connect. Reports have specified issues in Haggard Hall, Miller Hall, and Ross Engineering Technology buildings. The root cause is still being investigated. Keep an eye on this alert for updates.

Beginning around 10am on Wednesday, September 21st, users were unable to connect to any of WWU's Wireless networks. EIS restarted a server at 10:30am and connections were restored. If you are still experiencing difficulty connecting, please try forgetting and re-adding the network. For any other ongoing wireless issues, please contact the Help Desk.
