2:43PM - The server was rebooted and the services hosted on it were verified to be running correctly. Right Fax service is restored. 


1:30PM - The server is currently rebooting. The original 1:30 estimate has been extended as certain data needed to be exported prior to the reboot.

RightFax services are currently down.

At 1PM, the Microsoft SQL Server database server will be rebooted in order to restore service to Right Fax. The following applications may experience an outage between 1:00-1:30 as part of the reboot process:

  • OnGuard and KeyWin
  • CRC
  • Argus
  • Titanium Schedule
  • Assorted small web apps and AccessDB apps with MSSQL back-end database.

Our apologies for the short notice and widesrpead nature of the outage. RightFax provides critical functionality for the Health Center to communicate with health care providers, so it is high priority for us to restore service.

Outlook Web Issues

8:00 a.m. - Microsoft has observed the incident to be stable as of 3:00 a.m. and has returned to normal levels of service. They will continue to monitor potential service impacts as they apply long-term solutions. Please contact the Help Desk if you are still experiencing issues.

2:00 p.m. - Microsoft has seen the issues occur once more and have reopened the advisory. Access to Outlook on the web and searching within Microsoft 365 apps (e.g., docs in SharePoint and OneDrive) may be impacted.

Banner/Web4U/Registration Unavailable, Friday-Saturday, 6/2-6/3

To perform operating system updates, the following systems will be unavailable Friday, June 2, 2023, from 7:00 p.m. until at least Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 5:00 p.m.:

  • Banner 9 AdminPages
  • Banner Workflow (WWIS)
  • Esign Administrative Web Forms
  • eInvoice and eProcurement
  • Web4U (All Banner Self-Service features in WWIS)
  • DataTransfer
  • Registration and Waitlisting
  • DegreeWorks

Office 365 Online Apps Unavailable to Some Users

Status: Resolved

Microsoft has identified a widespread issue where Office 365 online apps are unavailable to some users. This issue is also impacting search on Microsoft Online services and some items not being visible within SharePoint.

Microsoft has identified the cause of the issue and is working to resolve it. 

9:30 AM Update: Microsoft issued an update stating that they are still working to resolve this incident and will provide another update at 11 AM. 

11 AM Update: Microsoft is rolling back an update released earlier in the week in an attempt to pinpoint a possible solution to the issue. Another update will be posted as soon as we have additional information. 

12 PM Update: Microsoft completed the rollback and are monitoring its impact to the situation. There may potentially still be issues with accessing Microsoft Online resources. Another update will be provided at 1 PM

1:30 PM Update: Microsoft has resolved the service impacts.

9:00 a.m. - SPSS is available.

6:06 p.m - Financial Aid website is back up. CampusWeb websites are up but editor access not available yet. Lab software is also not available yet.
2:35 p.m. - CampusWeb websites restore in progress.
1:36 p.m. - Degree Works has been restored. Other services are being prioritized.

03.02.2023, 9:28 a.m. - EIS is working with our vendors to restore service to 52 servers that are currently unavailable, including Degree Works and the Financial Aid website.

Some lab software may be impacted by this outage due to licensing services being hosted on the downed servers. The list of potentially impacted software is as follows: AgiSoft, Altair, ArcGIS, AutoDesk, CGTech, DFMA, Hexagon MSC, Keyshot, Keysight (ADS), Matlab, MAXTraQ, MestReNova, Nutritionist Pro, OriginLab, Oxford AzTec, PLECS, SPSS, SolidWorks, Rhino, Rocscience, VectorWorks, Xilinx.

eSign forms with attachments may also be impacted.

Degree Works Unavailable Tuesday 02.28.2023 from 9:00 p.m.-Midnight

Degree Works, an academic planning and degree progress tool, will be unavailable due to maintenance on Tuesday, 02.28.2023, from 9:00 p.m. to midnight.

Multifactor Authentication Required

On January 24, 2023, the university began a phased project to protect all accounts with multifactor authentication (MFA).

Most student, faculty, and staff universal accounts are now protected with MFA. If you haven't enrolled your account in MFA and the university hasn't enrolled it for you yet, your account will require MFA within the next couple of weeks. Watch your email for the date your account will require MFA, or you can control when your account uses MFA by setting up your second factor now. UPD Phones and Emergency Call Boxes Offline
