Ellucian Campus Receivables and Collections unavailable at 5:00 p.m.

Ellucian Campus Receivables and Collections, used for Perkins repayment accounts or make payments on Perkins loans will be unavailable starting at 5:00 p.m. for an estimated 90 minutes.

Affected web addresses are crcpayments.eis.wwu.edu and cwapayments.wwu.edu

Banner Password Change Unavailable

The Banner password change site is now functional.

3/23/26 4:17pm

The Banner password change site is unavailable due to planned Banner upgrades until Monday, March 30th.

Banner Administrative password changes may experience errors during reset due to some preparation taking place for an upcoming Banner upgrade. Administrative systems password changes may have errors while this work is occurring until further notice. Banner Oracle Database password change is known to be down at this time.
Universal password changes are unaffected and can be performed as usual. While we usually prefer to have the Admin password changed prior to the Universal, you may change your Universal Password now and update your Admin password when the systems are fully functional once again. 

RESOLVED: Microsoft Service Access Impacted

Microsoft confirmed the issue is resolved and the impacted services are available once more.

9:30 a.m. :

Microsoft has implemented some mitigation strategies that appear to be bringing services back online. They continue work to verify the recovery is successful.

Microsoft has reported that people in North America might be unable to access multiple M365 services. These services include SharePoint, Teams and Planner. Microsoft is investigating the issue and working on a resolution.

Teams Voice Calls issues

Teams call flows have returned to normal.

It seems there are some cases where the calling still isn't working as expected. The administrators are looking into the issue once more.

The issue was discovered and resolved. We have confirmed reports that the calling is functional once more.

Teams Voice is currently having issues with inbound and outbound external calls. Symptoms include being unable to hear or be heard when speaking to external individuals. Calling from a Western number to a Western number is functioning as expected. 

Our administrators are currently working to resolve the issue. Updates will be posted here as they become available. 

RESOLVED: Administrative System Maintenance (Banner, Web4U) This Weekend

UPDATE : Maintenance has concluded and Banner is available.

Some M365 Teams content unable to load

Microsoft is in the final stages of deploying the fix. They've also confirmed with affected users that the majority of groups are now resolved.

Microsoft is deploying the fix and exploring ways to accelerate rollout.

We've received reports that some users may have trouble accessing content hosted within M365 Groups and Teams. Microsoft is ware of the issue and is working to resolve it. This issue is not unique to WWU. Symptoms include seeing a white screen when attempting to access documents, or no actions occurring when clicking on links. 

In the meantime, as a work around, we've found that copying the link to the item then navigating to it within an InPrivate or incognito browser window will often allow you to view the file. 

M365 Apps Intermittently Unavailable on the Web

This issue was nationwide and was affecting Microsoft's infrastructure. The problem appears to be resolved.

We've received reports that M365 apps on the web might be inaccessible intermittently for those not already logged in. You might see an error stating "Sorry, that didn't work" or a completely white screen when trying to log into Office apps on the web. Our team is currently investigating this issue and will provide updates as they become available. 

UPDATE: Banner and DegreeWorks Instability Following Maintenance This Weekend

DegreeWorks is now back.

Our technical team will continue working through this evening to resolve the DegreeWorks issue. At this time, there is no estimated time for full resolution. We appreciate your patience and understanding and will share updates as they become available.

Banner is currently functioning normally. However, DegreeWorks is experiencing issues, and our technical team is actively investigating. We appreciate your patience and will provide updates as more information becomes available.

Banner continues to be worked on, and stability appears to have improved. However, it is reported that DegreeWorks is exhibiting some issues now.

The Banner system continues to experience intermittent issues. Our technical team is actively investigating and working toward a resolution. We appreciate your patience and will provide updates as they become available.

While the FAST maintenance has concluded, there were some other issues that rose up that will need further work. You might notice some Banner application instability issues while they are addressed. ITS is currently working on troubleshooting and resolving these issues. If you have trouble accessing Banner, you can try logging in again and you may be able to get in.

Millennium FAST will be unavailable Friday, February 6th, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to Sunday, February 8th 5:00 p.m. for scheduled maintenance. 

Degree Works Maintenance Evening of 2/3/2026

Degree Works will be undergoing scheduled maintenance from 2/3/2026 at 5:00 p.m. to 2/4/23 at 8:00 a.m. During this time Degree Works will be unavailable. 

Microsoft Office Licensing Solution Found

Status: Resolved

Earlier this year Microsoft imposed a change to the licensing used by some faculty and staff on campus that limited the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products to the web.  This change by Microsoft did not alter any access to software used by students. 

While the web version of apps offer functionality most would need for common day to day tasks, we understand that there are some workflows that require the use of desktop applications. Thanks to the hard work of those in the Provost's Office and BFA/ITS leadership, a solution was found to allow us to license the desktop apps to active employees that would need it. If you find yourself needing the desktop applications, please submit a ticket to the ITS Help Desk requesting licensing. 

Thank you to those that were patient and worked with us while a more sustainable solution was found.
