Connecting with DAC and ATUS Support Techs for Accommodations

Disability Access Center

New online course formats may require the implementation of new accommodations by providing course recordings, captions, real-time remote transcription, among others. Please visit the Accessible Online Course Design for helpful tips in making your course more accessible to all students, or contact the Disability Access Center with any questions.

The Disability Access Center determines accommodations for students with disabilities on a case-by-case basis.  All disability-related remote participation requests can be sent to the Disability Access Center (DAC).  If the student has been approved, the DAC will reach out to faculty prior to the start of the term to initiate discussions and plans for how to accommodate the student.   The DAC will get a sense of the course objectives and outcomes, what equipment is available and what will be needed, and then will set off to remediate content or procure any equipment through ATUS that may be necessary.  Both the student and the instructor will receive ongoing support throughout the term.
