Eduroam Global WiFi Roaming for Academia

Eduroam (Education Roaming) is a service that allows faculty, staff, and students from participating institutions to connect to secure WiFi at other participating institutions around the world.

How WWU faculty, staff, and students can use eduroam

  1. When you visit a participating institution, connect to the eduroam SSID from your mobile device
  2. Sign in with username@wwu.edu and your WWU universal password
  3. Trust or accept the certificate if you are prompted
  4. Use the Wifi as you normally would, but remember to forget this network on your mobile device when you return to Bellingham. While you are on Western's campus, you should connect to WWUwireless-Secure

If you experience any problems, contact the ATUS Help Desk at 360-650-3333 or helpdesk@wwu.edu. It may also help to confirm that others are able to connect to eduroam from your location. If not, we may need to work with the host institution to troubleshoot the problem on their end.
