Important Note: July 1 2024, ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap) Retirement in Education Programs - As of July 1, 2024, ESRI is formally retiring ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap). It will no longer be available to Western users. Starting with our campus license renewal on September 8, 2024 we will discontinue license distribution and support for ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap) and will no longer have the ability to issue licenses.

The forthcoming retirement of ArcGIS Desktop has been long in the making. Most of you have already made the transition away from ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap) to ArcGIS Pro for your ESRI GIS desktop teaching and research needs. If you have already made this change, we thank you and this message is inconsequential.

For those of you who have not, we strongly encourage you to make the transition to ArcGIS Pro, ESRI’s modern GIS desktop solution, as soon as possible. ArcGIS Pro is currently available at version 3.2.1. Visit the the College of the Environment Tutorials page for detailed instructions on how to use your ESRI account and log in.
