VPN Issue Resolved

2/3/2021, 10:54am, RESOLVED:  The issue with VPN this morning has been resolved.  

2/3/2021, 8:30 AM, Re-opened: Some are still encountering issues connecting to VPN this morning, or have been unable to connect to resources after connecting. The change made yesterday has been rolled back to resolve the new issue of connecting to resources like Remote Desktop, but that reduced the number of available connections while we troubleshoot the issues.

2/2/2021, 3:45 PM, RESOLVED: The root cause of the VPN issue was discovered, and now VPN should connect consistently.

2/2/2021, UPDATE: The VPN issue appeared again today, but it has had an intermittent impact. If you are not able to connect to VPN, please try to connect again to remotevpn.wwu.edu every few minutes. Staff are working to identify the root cause for this issue. 

2/1/2021, 3:30 PM, RESOLVED: The VPN issue has been resolved. If you are still not able to connect to remotevpn.wwu.edu, please try restarting your computer. If you continue to have difficulty, visit the ATUS website and click the Get-Help tab.


2/1/2021, 3:00 PM: RemoteVPN.wwu.edu is not accepting new connections. Users with current active connections are unaffected. The network team is investigating. Some have reported successful connections by entering https://remotevpn.wwu.edu instead of just remotevpn.wwu.edu into the Cisco AnyConnect client.
