7/24/2026 8:00 a.m. : Microsoft has stated this issue is resolved. 

4:30 p.m. :

Microsoft continues to work on this issue and has issued the following statement: While we continue to expedite the deployment of our fix, we've also determined that an additional mitigation will further increase its efficacy. We're monitoring both the deployment of our fix and the additional mitigation so that we can ensure full remediation.

 

11:50 a.m. :

Microsoft is continuing to deploy the configuration change to the subset of affected users, after which they'll test to confirm it was effective at remediating the impact.

9:05 a.m.:
Microsoft has issued a service alert that users may not receive notifications in the Microsoft Teams desktop client. This issue appears to be specific to the Microsoft Teams desktop client for Windows. Some affected users may hear an incoming call ringtone but not receive the associated notification, while other affected users may not receive notifications for chat messages. Additionally, we've seen some impacts to outgoing calls.

Microsoft identified a recent Microsoft Teams desktop client service update for Windows that correlates with the impact. They are reversing this service update to confirm whether this remediates the impact.
