RESOLVED: Outlook on the Web, SharePoint Search and Bookings unavailable

UPDATES:
11/26/2024 10:00am: Microsoft believes this issue to be resolved but are still monitoring their infrastructure. They are conducting an internal investigation as to what occurred. 

2:09 pm: Microsoft has identified their mitigations have had incremental improvements but are still working to resolve the issue completely. 

12:25 pm: Microsoft has indicated that services are showing significant signs of restoration and recovery continues. 

11:52 am: Microsoft continues to work on the issue as one of their highest priorities. 

11:15 am: The fix Microsoft attempted to implement did not work as expected and the affected infrastructure still remains in an unhealthy state. Microsoft is working to move traffic to healthy infrastructure and are seeing some progress.

9:37 am: Microsoft is continuing to implement fixes to their infrastructure. They have stated they do not have a time estimate for resolution. An update from Microsoft will be provided by 11:00am. 


8:50 am: Microsoft is rerouting traffic to alternate infrastructure. 

8:20 am: Microsoft is deploying a fix and some services may appear operational shortly. They are working to expedite the recovery.

8:03 am: Microsoft has been made aware of several outages of their services. Updates from Microsoft will be provided here as they are announced. Details from Microsoft on the scope of some of the outages are provided below: 

Users may be unable to access Exchange Online using the following impacted connection methods: - Outlook on the web - Outlook desktop client - Representational State Transfer (REST) - Exchange ActiveSync (EAS)

Users may be unable to use the following features within Microsoft Teams: - Users are unable to create or update Virtual Events, including webinars and Town Halls. - Users may be unable to access or modify their calendar in Microsoft Teams. This would include loading calendar, viewing meetings, creating/updating meetings and joining meetings. - Users are unable to create chat, add users and create or edited meetings. - Users are unable to create or modify new teams and channels. - Users may be unable to update presence. - Users may be unable to use the search function. - Users may not see updated list of files and links failing to load within the Chat shared tab.

Users may be unable to use the search feature within SharePoint Online.

Users may be unable to access their bookings within Microsoft Bookings.
